FavorPrep™ 96-Well Genomic DNA Kit is equivalent to the Qiagen 69581 & Qiagen 69582 Kits

The kit is specially designed for purification of total DNA (including genomic, mitochondrial and viral DNA) from different animal samples including blood, body fluids, tissues, mouse tails, swabs or cultured cells.  The kit uses a proteinase K and a chaotropic salt, guanidine hydrochloride to lyse cells and degrade protein, than DNA in chaotropic salt is bounded to glass fibre matrix of column.  After washing off the contaminants, the purified DNA is eluted by a low salt elution buffer or water.  DNA binding wash and elution steps can be carried out on a vacuum manifold or a centrifuge
