The GebAflex-Tubes can be used for dialysis and electroelution of proteins, RNA, DNA, and oligonucleotides from polyacrylamide or agarose gels. The disposable, single-use tubes require no syringes, microcentrifuge, or laborious steps to manipulate small sample volumes. The sample is added and removed using a standard laboratory pipet. Available with molecular weight cutoffs (MWCO) from 3.5 to 14 kDa, the tubes are designed in four volume capacities: mini (10-250 Ál), midi (50-800 Ál), maxi (500-3000 Ál), and mega (3-20 ml). The membrane is ultra-clean, EDTA treated regenerated cellulose, sulfur- and heavy metal-free. Each kit contains GebAflex Tubes, Elution Buffer, Floating rack and Supporting tray
The tubes can accomodate small or large gel slices and are capable of extracting any molecule ranging from 3.5kDa to unlimited size molecules. Position the tubes in the supporting tray and place into any horizontal flat-bed electrophoresis system making sure each tube membrane surface sits perpendicular to the current flow. Start your ElectroElution cycle. The molecule of interest will be driven out of the gel and adhere to the membrane window of the tube. Reverse the position of the tubes and run for another 1-2 minutes and the molecule of interest will transfer from the membrane and sit in the buffer. Simply recover the molecule using a standard pipette.
